Room management

The unit grid shows every room in a ward with color-coded bed status. Open the room drawer to update individual beds, assign departments, and run reserve/admit/release workflows.

Supported statuses

• Available
• Occupied
• Cleaning
• Reserved (manual — no automatic expiry timers)
• Maintenance
• Blocked

Gender lock

Platform owners can enable gender lock for standard and ICU multi-bed rooms under System settings → Bed settings.

Permissions

Bed Admin manages facility structure and bed metadata. Bed Staff can read and operate beds within their scope. All changes are recorded in the audit log.
